Sometimes, when I am Zen'ning, I worry that artistry is such a "fleeting" thing. Perhaps I will no longer be able to feel the pleasure of this form of art and the "inspiration" I usually feel may be gone. This piece started with the Cruffle tangle pattern and I became somewhat bored with my lackluster attempt. I went to bed. When I awoke I had images of flowers enveloping the Cruffle grapes.....but still I was not overly impressed. Instead of simply abandoning the attempt, I decided to go "outside" the image and add some shading to the lighter areas. As it progressed I found I liked it more and more and recited the Zentangle mantra - "one line at a time". All is well!

I admire your talents with your "zenning". I don't have the patience for it :)
